Top 10 New Year

Read on to learn about the top 10 New Year’s resolutions for kids and how you can encourage them to make life better.

Many of us are not aware that kids too should make New Year’s resolutions. As a parent you can help your growing child make resolutions as well as help her accomplish them.
New Year means a new beginning for all people worldwide. Human beings make mistakes, have regrets and at the same time feel happy and proud for few things they did. The end of year is the best time to analyse your works, behaviour, performance and satisfaction level. The same goes with the kids also.
Just like adults, children also look forward to follow a new set of changes from the beginning of the New Year. Usually children wish to bring changes and make their behaviour and attitude better. They want to learn new things and do a lot of things. It is the parents’ biggest responsibility to guide them in the right path. In addition to this, they should also help their children stick to their resolutions once they have made the list.

Top 10 New Year’s resolutions for Kids

Let us take a look at the top 10 New Year resolution for kids.

1. Academic Improvement

Improvement in education is something every child and her parents want even if the child is doing well in class. Parents need to be slightly careful here especially for very sensitive children.

2. Learn New Things

If your child wants to learn a new skill or add up any new ability, encourage her to accomplish that. If your child is still very young, you can help her find reading time as fun time.

3. Become Physically Active

Video and computer games have taken away the active children last generation had. Let your child make a promise to run or play outdoors for at least one hour daily. This will not only help her stay healthy, but also keep her brain sharp.

4. Avoid Fast Food

Children love burgers, pizzas and all kinds of fast food items. Make your children aware of the health problems that arise due to fast food intake. Remember, this would be a good lifestyle change for the entire family.

5. Go Green

Encourage your children to use only that much of energy that is needed. Make sure your kid is aware that every switch is turned off in her room before leaving for school.

6. Get Involved In Philanthropic Activities

Encourage your child to donate her toys and clothes as well as her hair if she wants for a good cause. Be a role model in this field.

7. Clean Room Daily

Children get lazy when it comes to cleaning and organizing their rooms. Help your child get into a habit of cleaning room daily.

8. Be Happy Always

Children get annoyed and irritated on silly things often. Let your child make a promise to herself that she will remain happy always and if she has any problem, she will come to you and sort it out without getting irritated.

9. Master A Skill

Make your kid promise to master one of her skills so that she has complete hold on it.
