Raising Children

CORIANDER CHUTNEY

INGREDIENTS:

A bunch of coriander leaves
1 cup grated coconut
10 green chillies
8-10 curry leaves 
½ tsp. black gram dal (udad)
½ tsp. Bengal gram (chana dal)
½ tsp. mustard seeds
1 tsp. oil 
a little tamarind (soaked in water)
salt to taste 
4-5 garlic cloves 
1 tsp. cumin seeds
 

METHOD:

Grind the coconut with green chillies and tamarind pulp. Add coriander leaves, garlic and cumin seeds and grind once again. Put salt to taste.

For the seasoning, splutter mustard seeds along with the 2 dals and curry leaves in hot oil and pour over the chutney.
