Dr. Sarita Bhalerao qualified from Seth G. S. Medical College and KEM Hospital with MD in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in 1994. She worked at Wadia Maternity Hospital as Lecturer & Clinical Fellow in Gynecologic Oncology after MD. In 1999, she went for an overseas training to Dartford & Gravesend NHS Trust Hospital, UK. She completed MRCOG in 1999. In 2003 Dr. Bhalerao went to Kiel, Germany for Training in Pelvic Endoscopy. She is specialized in Endoscopy, Colposcopy and Obstetric & Gynaec Sonography.
She has a 9 years teaching experience and currently she is on the faculty of College of Physicians & Surgeons for DGO, FCPS and DFP teaching. She is also involved in the organisational activities; she is a member of the Managing Council of The Mumbai Obstetric & Gynaecological Society since 2001, Chairperson of High Risk Obstetrics Committee and Treasurer of The Association of Medical Women in India, Mumbai Branch.
She is the recipient of awards like FOGSI Ethicon Travelling Fellowship (1997) for specialized training in infertility & cancer Detection, Young Gynecologists Award (2000) from The Asea – Oceana Federation of Obstetrician & Gynecologist and Hargobind Foundation Fellowship (2003) for specialized training in Pelvic Endoscopy from Kiel, Germany. |
